Scarlett at the Sale Barn - The Night She Was Rescued
Scarlett at the Sale Barn
The pictures say it all. These were taken at the sale barn, before she was brought home. Keep in mind she was ridden through the sale with a rider and a western saddle. I can't imagine how painful the girth must have been, because the next day the edema on her underside was sore to the touch.

Notice the underside of her belly, the bulge you see is the ventral edema, it was very painful for her.

I am so glad you got some pictures of her at the sale barn. But it does just stir up the anger again.

Teri sent them to me. You did a good thing Julie. You need to become an official rescue. Since this isn't the first horse you saved. You obviously have a nack for it, you brought bones back to health - and at his age. Wow!

I'm stunned, amazed and am sitting here in tears of joy over the miraculous recovery of precious Scarlett. I want to know your secrets for turning a pathetic looking, near dead mare into the gorgeous creature she is today. Bless you for taking her in. I will send more $ to help you with her or another horse you have that needs help very soon.
Again, bless you for doing this for the raving beauty you named Scarlett.
